Welcome to Swannington C.E. School
Hello and welcome to our lovely school! We are a small, village primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 near to Coalville in Leicestershire. We try to offer small class sizes, in order to allow for the individual needs of each child and ensure effective learning and teaching.
Swannington is a very special place for children to learn and develop. Our children are at the centre of everything we do. Its ethos reflects our warm and welcoming family atmosphere, our Christian values and our commitment to mutual respect and understanding.
At Swannington, it is our aim to provide a safe, happy, stimulating and challenging environment where each child feels valued, respected and confident in their work, and reaches their potential. We believe that in order to experience success, children have to believe in themselves and never underestimate their own potential.
We believe that our success is dependent upon a close partnership with parents and carers. We encourage our parents to become actively involved in the life of the school, working with us to ensure that we provide the best possible education for our children.
We are an integral part of our community and have close links with our church, St George’s, and with Swannington Heritage trust. We also work very closely with other schools and believe that through sharing expertise and good practice across the wider community, we enrich the experience and opportunities for our children.
We work hard to educate the whole child, to value their strengths and achievements, to value respect, kindness and consideration for others within our school community and the wider world.
I hope this website gives you a flavour of our school and the pride we take in the children, the whole staff team and the Governors. We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely school.
